Additional information
-GOETZE 851sGL is a spring-loaded safety valve for overpressure protection of industrial compressed air systems, pressure vessels and other pressure systems. The valve is angled and has threaded connections and a lifting lever.
-The valve body is made of CC499K gunmetal, the internal parts are made of CW617N brass and the spring is made of stainless steel 1.4310. The FKM seal is suitable for the operating temperature range of this version -20…+200 °C.
-GOETZE 851 series safety valves are set and sealed at the factory. The series meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO 4126-1 and the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and has TÜV type approval.
Compliance:
The valve meets the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU and is type approved in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4126-1.
TÜV type approval 666 / 684.
CE 0035.
The valve is set and sealed at the factory.
851 s GL 32 f/f 50-50 FKM
851 = series
s = non-gas-tight spring housing for neutral media without back pressure
G = gaseous medium
L = lifting lever
32 = DN32
f/f = internal thread / internal thread
50/50 = G2″ / G2″
FKM = Fluorocarbon rubber seal
Installation and use:
The valve must only be installed by qualified personnel.
The spring-loaded safety valve is installed vertically with the spring housing facing upwards.
The valve must be installed so that it is not subjected to harmful static, dynamic or thermal loads.
The inlet pipe of the safety valve should be kept as short as possible. The pressure drop on the inlet side at full blow-off capacity must not exceed 3 % of the valve opening pressure.
The exhaust piping must enable the safe evacuation of the mass flow required by the valve.
Care must be taken to ensure the safe removal of any condensation and, if necessary, the piping must be protected from freezing.
Contaminants must be prevented from entering the valve during installation and operation. In particular, sealing materials, welding residues or other foreign substances entering the sealing surfaces can cause the valve to leak.
The factory-installed seal must not be removed or broken.
Service and maintenance:
The system operating pressure must be at least 5 % below the closing pressure of the safety valve so that the valve can close properly after blow-out.
In addition:
The valve's operating condition and tightness must be checked in accordance with the operating conditions and applicable requirements.
A small leak caused by impurities on the sealing surfaces can be eliminated by using the valve's lifting lever, according to the manufacturer's instructions, so that the valve blows the impurities away.
If the leak persists, the sealing surface may be damaged. Repairs may be carried out by Goetze KG Armaturen or an authorized Goetze repair shop using original spare parts.
